Access to the castle garden, during opening hours, is autonomous and free.
Access to the castle is allowed only with the accompaniment of the guide.

Access to the castle garden is free, access to the inside of the castle is available only with a guide due to security reasons.

There are guided tours, during opening hours, every 40 minutes. The last visit in the morning and in the afternoon starts always 50 minutes before closing time. The guided tour is in italian language:  there are however brochures in English German, Dutch ( “Tekst in het Nederlands beschikbaar” and French to follow the tour. It is possible to reserve in advance a guided tour in English, German or French for groups of at least 12 people.

Individuals, couples, families, small groups:
No reservation is required: just arrive at the ticket office during opening hours and you will be entered into the first visit leaving.
In case of groups of more than 12 people, booking is recommended, especially on weekends and holidays, to ensure that you visit the castle on the same visit together.

Organized groups (coaches):
Reservation is required: if more than 25 people, the group will be divided into two smaller groups. The waiting group can enjoy a break in the garden or in the village of Serralunga while the first group completes the tour.
Advanced payment by bank transfer is required for groups. Punctuality is required  for all groups: in case of severe delay, the guides can reserve the right of not conducting the tour even if already paid.

In bank holidays there could be a lot of visitors: waiting time for the tour could be longer. In such cases, visitors are invited to contact the ticket office for any information.

The castle may be opened  also in closing days or times by reservation for groups of no less than 25 people.


The castle stands on the top of the hill overlooking the village of Serralunga d'Alba. To get there it is necessary to take a climb along a pebble street. People with severe motor disabilities can arrive at to the entrance by car and visit the outside courtyard. The presence of architectural barriers prevents them, unfortunately, from visiting the castle's interior spaces.

Families are welcome. However, young children must always be held by the hand. A baby changing table is available, in opening hours of the castle, for all families: for both those who visit it, and those who visit the garden only or stroll in the village. The baby changing table is located in the bathroom, which can be accessed from the garden, with free entry.


Access to the garden with your dog is allowed, provided it is kept on a leash, does not disturb other visitors and leaves no trace of its passage.
A bowl with fresh water and dog mess bags are available.
Access to the castle is allowed for small dogs, carried in visitors’ their arms.


The castle can only be accessed with a guided tour that lasts 45 minutes.
The last guided tour in the morning and in the afternoon starts before closing time.
